Teenage driving accidents increase during summer. Teen driver insurance cost have skyrocketed! Increases in teenage insurance costs for males have not had much of an impact as statistics show.

Summer is a time when young people have a lot more time on their hands and for them being out there is an integral part of enjoying the summer. Teens tend to stay out later, drive around with their buddies eager to show off their driving skills. When you add loud music, party mood, alcohol and drugs into this situation, it is formula for disaster. And so, motor vehicle accidents remain the number one cause of death among young people in North America.

There is no such thing as cheap teen auto insurance. While driving education programs and driving school education have helped some teens to show more responsibility in the driver’s seat, the tragedies continue to pile up.

What else can be done to encourage teenage drivers to adopt more responsible attitude to driving as a whole. What else can be done to protect teens against irresponsible behavior when they are behind the wheel? Should parents be held more responsible for their teenage drivers?Should teenagers themselves be held more accountable and responsible?
